Jenya!

Evan: We got Jenya today! She is either sleeping or she's crying. I can make her smile by shaking her hand and saying "Hello! Nice to meet you!"

Andrew: Today we picked up Mohana. She is very cuddly but feisty. She has a temper. She does not like strangers, including us! She threw a huge fit. The ayah says she and her cribmate Bhargabi are very naughty, but they are friends. They are naughty together. She has black curly hair and is very very cute. There were twelve babies in the room in the nursery and seven of them are going to American families. One baby took a liking to me. Whenever I smiled, he smiled. Bhargabi did not cry at all. She showed almost no expression and fell asleep in Mrs. Ross' arms. Bhargabi is also very cute. I can't believe Jenya is my new sister. She is so nice. She is sleeping right now.

Andrew and Evan,
You are going to be the perfect BIG brothers. I love reading your blog. Andrew, you are almost as tall as your dad? It's been too long since I have seen you. I hope the next time I am in R.I. I will get the chance to visit with your family.
Love, Ms. Aroesty

It was really cool seeing all of you sitting on an elephant. We can't wait to see photographs to learn about all the places you visited. It sounds like you are having fun doing so many interesting things.

Dear Andrew and Evan,

We have been enjoying reading your blog and seeing the photos of your trip and, most of all, your new sister surrounded by her family! We are so happy for you five Welsers that you're all finally together.

You both do a great job in your blog of describing all of the interesting sights, sounds, smells, and tastes... it makes us want to visit India, too.

Love from your cousins,
Katherine & Dylan

Evan and Andrew,
What wonderful big brothers you are! Fiona, Grace, Russell and I have been thinking a lot about your journey and what it would be like to have a third child in the family. I can't wait to show the photo of you on the elephant to F and G. On Sunday, we journeyed to Nasonville, RI for dinner at Wright's Farm in honor of your beautiful family. There were no elephants there.... but I did take a photo of Russell with the "bone plate".
Congratulations!
Love, Bekah

BOYS!!! You didn't think I'd find your blog- good thing for your mom! I couldn't be more proud of you two- you are going to be amazing brothers. Now I have a little sister, too- I have always wanted one.

I'm at school right now, missing you all dearly. I will be sure to speed on over to your house the second I come home.

Have fun with Jenya- tell her about me! Love you both.

Hi Andrew and Evan,

It's driving me bonkers waiting to meet Jenya! I really wish I could ride an elephant, but you can't ride an elephant in RI.

See you soon! When do you come home?

Love, Sophie

Dear Andrew and Evan, As new big brothers to Jenya you have certain important responsibilities. One of them is to introduce her to the Red Sox. You have to explain baseball to her so that she can understand what is going on when you watch the games. You have to tell her that the Red Sox were the world champions just 2 years ago and that they had to break the evil curse of the Bambino in order to become world champs. And you have to describe the evil Yankees and how they have traitors on their team like Johnny Damon and Roger Clemens. And you have to show her the Green Monster, which is really a good Monster. And you have to tell her about all the great Red Sox rookies this year like Dice-K, Okajima, Pedroia, Jacoby Ellsbury, and Buckholz. She may not understand what a rookie is, but in a way this is her rookie year also so you have to bring her along slowly and not overwhelm her with too many details of the games. It might help if you let her hold your gloves. But most important of all, you cannot let her become a Yankees fan.

Have a great trip home. Love, Uncle Red and Aunt Nan
