I am soooo tired!
We're very very very tired, but we're HERE! I didn't get any sleep at all on the plane. I can't wait to pick up Jenya. I love the food. Some of the people are way, way poor here and it saddens me to see how poor they are. Some people live in shacks made of tin. Evan says it is smelly and hot. There are many people in traditional saris and sometimes they are riding on the backs of motorcycles. The shopkeepers are very nice. So far we saw monkeys and cows wandering around. We hear there are goats too but we haven't seen any yet.

I'm so glad you have your own blog now too! I esp like the colorful polka dot background you chose. :) Yea for making it all the way to India on those planes...what did you do the whole time to keep busy??? You are not very far away from Rwanda now...just a few time zones I think. I wish I could meet you there in India, but I know you will have a great time meeting your sister and I'll see you in Providence soon. Love you! Auntie Aimee
I am so excited to read your blog. It sounds like you are having a great time. I hope you manage to get on a good sleep schedule. What kinds of food have you had? What is the most unusual thing you have seen so far? Love, Grammie
Hi there, boys! It is fun to read about your big trip. What did you do on the airplane flights? Did you make friends with other passengers or with the flight attendants? How are the people dressed in India? Do you eat meals at the hotel? Do you use taxis to travel around in the city? Much love from Grandy
Hello!! We miss you Evan. We hope you and your family are having a good time. We wonder if you will see any goats! We hope you will see some elephants and that you get to ride on one. Do you think you would feed any monkeys? It will be fun getting your baby sister. We can't wait to see a picture of her. We would love to see a picture of the Tah Mahal. Take care and write back to us when you can.
Love, Mrs. Walsh and your friends
Sophie: Have you had any "pudi" yet (that cracker-like thing I tried in D.C.)? I've seen some Indian people with little red dots on their foreheads. If you learn what that means, could you tell me? I'm guessing you watched a LITTLE bit of DVD or screen-time on the plan. I can't wait to meet Jenya. See you soon!
Zack: Hi guys. I hope you're having a great time. I think it's so cool that you're seeing animals like monkeys and elephants. I loved your description of the traffic..."the cows go first..." I wish I was there. I think it's really cool that you're picking up Jenya in 8 days. See you later.
Judy: What great fun it is to read your blogs! We got a kick out of that fact that we read your Monday 9:00 pm blog at 5:00 pm Monday here?! It's wild to know that you're so far away, yet we're able to read your reactions of the day. Wonderful! Enjoy the sights, smells, sounds & tastes...and enjoy each other. I can't wait to hear more and to see you all when you get back.
Love, Judy :)
P.S. Jenya's room looks great in the pictures!
